A Thousand Years by ShadowKira A Thousand Years by ShadowKira
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath
Every hour has come to this

One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

One step closer
One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

Lyrics belong to Christina Perri, song is A Thousand Years.

Gabrielle and Xena belong to their respective owners.

Art is mine, drawn and colored in MS Paint, edited in Photoshop. Photograph was taken either by myself or my girlfriend about a year ago, I have permission to use it.

This is beautiful. I can't decide if I like Christina Perry's A Thousand Years or Melissa Etheridge's I've Loved You Before (which seems like it was written for X&G). Your art is wonderful.

I love Xena and Gabs its a shame that there is not much of a community anymore from what I can find.

There's a pretty big community on Tumblr, I've just noticed it seems as though most of the fans have been getting into more current shows. For me I just rewatched the show, I hadn't seen the ending when I was younger... So I decided to start from the beginning on Netflix, now I'm hooked again! haha

Wow.....not sure how to put into words what I feel when I see this picture, but it is a good feeling to have! :) I gotta say though you find some interesting inspiration from some interesting music! :D And again an amazing job with MS paint!!!!! Such a dead end program for me, where as you have succeeded in making amazing pics with it! :wow:

Thank you!! I get really inspired by songs, it actually really amuses me. And it can sometimes be frustrating because I get a lot of ideas at once. XD Not enough time to get them all out!

Yeah... MS Paint is my first love for digital art, I'd like to branch out but I'll definitely still use it. ^-^

The secret is keeping the file as a PNG while you're editing/working on the image, keep your line work as clean as possible. Copy and paste the picture that you are using as reference into the same page while you're working if you want the colors to be exact (at least for the base) and then just use the "pencil" tool to outline where you want the colors before filling in with the bucket tool. If you copy the entire image, then paste again after saving... You can replace colors with the eraser tool by left clinking and going over the line or area. Just make sure to have the color you want to be replaced on the left color swatch and the right color the one you want to be replacing it. I'll see if I can do another updated tutorial now that my skills are better. XD

Wonderful tips. But you have great patience as well to carry out all the aforementioned steps. I wonder if I can find that patience again. :(
